Hello and Tranny shifter question

Turbo R 151 F shifter
I am currently in the process of installing a Turbo R-151-F. Can I make the Tranny shifter on the G-54,52 fit the R-151. It looks like to me the bushing recess where the end of the shifter goes into the R-151 is way bigger than the 54,52. How do I make this work? Thanks guys.
