Question Heater and Blower Questions

I need to figure out how to make my truck's defrosters blow hot hair. Well, make the a/c blow air period (but not cold air).

I ended up tearing out my a/c componets (compressor, condenser, and tubes to and from), since I don't have my a/c hooked up, while putting a new seal on my timing cover today. Truck has never blow air of any kind (heated, plain, or a/c), and I know I don't need the a/c componets if I'm not wanting to blow cold air. But, it is going to be getting cold soon (well, as cold as it gets here in texas), and my windows always fog up, so I'd like to figure out how to hook up the blowers to make my defrosters blow hot.

Sorry if I aint makin much sense, I'm really tired lol. If you need more info on what I'm trying to do, just ask me and I'll try to explain it a little better.

But I guess I'm just trying to ask is, what do I hook up or check to see if my blowers can still work.

Any help would be greatly appriciated!

Not sure what you ripped out that you may still need. The blower is a separate unit mounted under the glove box. Has it ever worked? What happens when you throw the switch?
As for fogging - keep your fresh/recirc. lever to fresh. Equalize the inside and outside humidity.

Lol the inside and outside humidity is always the same. I haven't got a hard top on my 4runner.

Nothing happens when I throw on the switch, but I can hear parts moving about when I turn the fresh/recirc. toggle switch. A/c has never worked since I've gotten it, but I believe that it's just because the previous owner unhooked or disabled something rather than something broke. I know none of the belts were hooked up to the a/c componets under the hood. What do people usually do when then disable their whole air conditioning system?

Well, I'm about to go out and finish puttin my truck back together from fixing the timing cover seal. Any more advice for things to check out as far as my blower/ac situation goes?

Windows fog no matter what...hmm..are you sure it's fog? Don't know what to tell you since the old stand-by of turn on the a/c isn't an option. As for the blower fan, just start tracing wires. There should be a resistor about 6in. to the left of the fan - just follow the wires from the motor. If the resistor coils are good, check to see if you've got power there. Check the fuses under the hood and in the driver's side kick panel.

Fuses for the heater/blower are actually behind the glove box.

I was thinking it was just relays back there, but after more thought, I believe you're right.

There's two fuses right below the relays - one for A/C and one for Heater.

I once had the cable [if your heater is cable select] come undone down below the dash where the blowers for your feet are... that cable changes the direction of airflow...
