Header issues

I just rebuilt my 1988 EFI 22re 4wd from oil pan to valve cover and ordered a hedman header. When it got here it will not work with the EGR system. So, can i do a EGR delete and run this header without failing emissions and throwing a code in the computer

Or does anyone have experience with a Doug Thorley header?

From the experience with my hedman header I would get an LCE. The collector is way too high and it rattles against the frame. Also my flanges are bent up from having to re tighten the bolts so much. I had the exhaust shop tack weld the nuts to the bolts.

Well i would use the stock manifold but the guy before me decided to do the worst welding job ever on the collector to the manifold so i bought a hedman. The hedman is great for a carb motor but i have EFI and would have to delete all the tubes and i dont want to do that. So, for now im going to use the manifold, but if I fail emissions im going to get the WabFab 50 state legal header. I just cant justify spending 400 unless the collector leaks so bad i fail my emissions test.
