Just wondering if you can reuse your head bolts on a 3.0v6? i have to take my heads off to do some checking ect and dont know if its the type i have to replace my head bolts or not. thanks

You can reuse them no problem. It wont make a bit of difference. I have reused those headbolts without problems for years

 

i did not think you could reuse them Due to the heat they cause them to expand a little..well thats what happened with my MR2.
I reused it and blew the head gasket... I used new ones and all was good.
So from experience i would recommend replacing them.

 

I think the head bolts on the V6 are torque to yeild and cannot be reused. I wouldnt reuse them. Buy some from engnbldr his are built stronger and can be reused time and time again.

 

Reuse on a 22re, replace on a 3vze...

 

The 3vze headbolts ARE TTY. They are not worth re-using...
