had it with my trailgear springs
I'm on my second set of trailgear springs in the front on my sas'd pickup and now the rear sits about 2.3-3" uneven because they settled WAY different. The fronts were S'd out and flat after 4 months and the rear has settled to this point after 9 months. I take it easy on my truck I feel and I never jump it. What 5" springs should I go with... marlin? All pro? I'm ready to just ditch the rear springs and go with a different brand I'm so frustrated.

A lot of people bash TG and a lot of people swear by it. I guess I just got unlucky. I just find 2-3" of settle difference through 2 sets of springs to be unacceptable especially with how I take care of my junk.

Are you running bump stops up front? You have pics of them by chance?
I have never had an issue with the 20+ kits I have installed having that issue unless the bump stops were never installed or installed where they let the springs go into a negative arch.

that was my old 4" regular springs. I figured the warn bumper and winch did those in. they always were too soft even from day one. I ran bump stops until they settled to the point where the bumpstops sat about 2" away from the frame stops. Then I cut them off because it kept bottoming out on the street. The 5"hd I've had in the front for a couple months now have had no issues so far. the back 4" springs are settled 3" more on the driver side however. I have no frame stops on the rear. The tires stuff in the fender before those springs flatten.

But on another note, I love the pro comp springs I bought for the 84, I do run them hard, and so far no issues. I go wheeling pretty much every weekend. They havent even dropped, still up in the air, and they really arent that stiff. Might give them a try, see what happens. Just my .02

I had problems with my original 4" fronts which settled and flattened. I replaced them with 5"hd which are still holding up. Now my issue is with the original 4" rear which have settled about 3" more on the driver side. Whatever spring I go with in the rear I'd like to keep the same length as the trailgear so I think that limits it to the marlin's. Don't really want to cut off and weld on new hangers again. Was under the impression that TG and MC got their springs from the same supplier though.

FWIW, without an antiwrap bar, you will fatigue springs in the rear. If they are "S"ing from spring wrap, then that is your issue.
All-Pro and Marlin springs are built by Betts spring, but assembled in India. FWIW, I never had an issue with my rear 5" TG Springs. They do settle though, but that is normal.
