gurgle behind dash?

Hey guys. I went to look at a 1988 V6 4runner. It has 150000 miles and was in pretty good shape. When I was driving it I noticed a gurgle that sounded like it was right behind the dash. It only happened when I stepped on the gas. Has anybody had this happen to them or heard of it.

Sounds like an air bubble in the coolant lines going to the heater core.

My truck does that every time I flush the coolant before it is completely full. Check to make sure it has not run dangerously low on coolant and make sure the heater works. A bad heater core can cause it to make that noise more.

my 87 2wd does it. New radiator, coolants full etc... full heat.. It's more of a parts runner truck so i havent cared much to fix it, lol.

does it on startup when the the coolant moves into the heater core, after that, its gone.

I just bought mine and it does it too. Is the heater core higher then the engine? My concern is that coolant might not be getting to the top of the engine? How do you get rid of the air?
