Got a new 4runner!! lots of pics

I was looking on craigslist and found this 1989 4runner. Its the 3.0 5 speed, its been bobed, sas, 4.88s, welded rear, 31" swappers in the front and 31"X15 tractor tires in the read and a few other thing.
I called the guy and he said he didn't want it any more and he got sick of having to trailer it everywhere. He just bought a 87 dd 4runner and it was time for this to go. All it needs is a battery and its ready for the trails. the body's trashed but what do u expect from a trail rig. We talked for a lil while on the phone about toyotas and how well it did off road and where hes taking it.

I finally asked him what he wanted for it and he said "$550 come and get it if u want it". I said ill take it. and ill be on my way to pick it up in two days.
so i got a trailer from a friend and took it home to pull it with my days f150. this thing was so heavy with my lil 4runner hahha i only pulled it for 17 miles till i got home but it was huge haha.

well on to the pics

first thing i did was got a battery and took off the doors and cleaned it out. there was at least 5" of mud every where.

I really think i stole it for $550. i just dont know about the front sas its all just thrown together. and the front springs are flat but i love it.

Man that thing is in rough shape...I can't believe that everything worked with 5" of caked on mud. Just goes to show that Toyota's can't be stopped.

debatable... that hanger looks pretty suspect haha

its definitely worth it to wheel for a while and part out, i wouldnt dream of any type restoration though.

i see about 350-400 in axles, 100 for hubs, 100 for sr5 tach, 60 bucks for seat with no tears and 15 bucks for that new looking sr5 shifter knob. you already made a profit!!

Seriously?? I don't think I have every seen an SAS conversion that keep the 79-85 suck ass push pull steering.
Which battery cranks it? The one next to the gas tank held down with a cut off strap or the one under the hood.
Wow...

hahahha ya its bad but it works and thats all i really want is just to have something i can beat the crap out of to give the 95 a break lol.
The battery by the gas tank is just a battery he gave to me for a core for the new one. She runs great too.

Agreed will make a sweet trail rig. Switch it back to an IFS box and hi sterr and get new springs and tires and wheel it till it breaks.
