yeah its worth it, specially the first time you lift a wheel on somethin stupid and ur truck just pudders there....kinda pisses you off, and ive read lots of weld it or not weld it threads and ive decided to weld it, only downfall is quicker ware on the tires and you have to relearn how to not goose it around courners

I have been dd'ing my truck (with lockright) for almost 2 years. Its noticable, but its certainly liveable and MUCH nicer than a welded rear. You need to learn how to drive with the locker. You will learn the perfect throttle posistion to power through corners without locking up the rear end.. and so on..

Man I need to find someone down here with one and drive it before I go and buy one. I really just want to get selactable cuz I dont want ta have to worry about the driving characteristics at all.

Not even close. When cornering and gassing it, the inside tire slips if its given full throttle in low gear. Read the link to the Aussie locker review in my sig line.

Im sorry but thats false. I hate how people comment on autolocker drivability issues when they don't even have one.

I ask because I am thinking of getting one but said to myself
"self (I knew it was me because I recognized the voice) you should put a lunchbox in there"
but then I said
"maybe save some money and just weld it because they are designed to lock under load which is most of the time"
I was interested in what made 88clev4runner decide to go this route. I DD my truck most of the time but I do need a lock axel sometimes when I am at my camp pulling firewood through mud holes.
After reading on the Aussie site I am back leaning towards a lunchbox over weld. Way to go guys

i am sorry but i got so sick of waiting for my aussie that i canceled and got a lockright. i have never seen a company so slow as aussie. after three months they couldn't get me my order???? lockright is in and i love it.
