glasspack

Have a little glasspack on mine - was the cheapest thing the Muffler shop had when I was on more of a budget. Mine sounds just fine, not loud / droney at all, has a bit of noise when revving through the gears as you'd expect from a glasspack. My butt dyno tells me that the throttle response seems a bit better after throwing it on too - over the old holey OEM muffler.

I put one on my 4runner about a month ago. I hate it. I have no cat. just the cherry bomb and a turn out in front of the rear tire. It sounds horrible, I'm taking it off and putting a stock muffler on it. At autozone the cherry bomb was $20 and the reg. muffler was like $30.

i have a cherry bomb on my 4runner and at 4k RPM if you rev it up it sounds like the rapid fire guns also pointing out i have no cat but the cherry bomb is first then the muffler, it is not loud and doesnt sound like a ricer but sounds good, and you can pull attention to your truck if you aer sitting there and rev it up.

not a big fan of glasspacks, or 40 series on a 2.4.
when i bought my truck it had no cat, 4 into 1 headers, and a 40 series into duals.
it sounded like complete rice crap. popcorn farting at every shift.
i replaced it from the headers back with an exhaust and hi flow cat from downey. it still sounds like crap, but its better then before. it still popcorns at most shifts, unless i clutch it just right.
i am considering installing the new hushpower mufflers from flowmaster. i am not sure how much quieter it will make my truck but its worth a try
