Skullyota, you got a pic of that, I dont think I have ever seen a yota with a stack.

Hi-Jack over!!

I have a IMCO muffler(same thing as a flowmaster just cheaper) with a cat and a turndown by the spare tire on my truck and it sounds really nice, really deep at 1200RPMS, once you get higher up in the RPMS, it starts to get quieter. Its rediculously loud with the doors off though!!

Quote: I was thinking about putting a cherrybomb glass pack on my 89 toyota pickup.. its got a 2.4L engine.. I was wondering what it sounds like.. anyone have some advice for me??
Probably like a fly farting.
Not sure why anyone would think any different. It's an itty bitty engine and it doesn't particularly rev very high.
Now if it were turning at 12K+ rpms, it would be a different story

Heck, a gnat fart moves more gas than the 2.4L.

I had one on my truck for about 2 1/2 months... Sounded so bad I went to autozone and bought a replacement muffler. The "bomb" was low $20's and the replacement was less than $30 with tax... Now it sounds MUCH better.

I'm running an LC header, 2.25'' to a Flowmaster resonator then a Delta 40 Series.
Sounds cherry.
Butt dyno was impressive.

Anybody ever tried the Flomaster 60's series? They are supposed to be made for our smaller engines and the sound clips sound pretty good. Just curious if anyone had any personal experience with them.

i got some pace setter headers and a freeflow cat with cherry bomb.. i cut through part of the round parts on the ends and threw a 2 1/2 inch downpipe on it including the in pipe which only ended up being 2 1/4 inlet. that helped with the flow and added some good horses...

as far as loudness goes it is very throughty and deep with the headers and real short exsaust... i highly reconmnd it if you want to wake up the whole neighbor hood with your giant lawn mower sound... if your in to the yota because of it performance and you like loud loud DO IT!!!
IF YOUR A STIFFY THEN GO GET A REGULAR MUFFLER LIKE FLOWS OR BORLA OR SOMETHING I WARN YOU THE GLASSPACKS WILL POP AND GURGLE AND YOU WILL HATE STAYING IN GEAR WHEN YOU LET UP THE GAS... YOUR TRUCK WILL SOUND LIKE A MACHINE GUN IS GOING OFF AND LIKE A GREASE RACE GASSER.

I've got a 94 4runner 3.0 and have cut from the cat on. I put on a thrush glasspack in place of the cat and am running it straight out. It makes me hot.
I've got a buddy with an 89 22re running a glasspack in the cats place, and a flowmaster in place of the stock muffler. It too made me hot.
For a 4cyl, i suggest the latter. It will make you hot.

My old 82 truck had one. My truck sounded like a farm tractor in the woods.
They are cheap but what do you expect. Mine the paint basically burned off it and it rusted.
