girlfriend won't drive in my truck if i lift it any higher....

ok i recently put a 3 inch body lift on my truck and i wanted to put some ball joint spacers in and some greaseable shackles in the rear and lift it about 5 inches total, run some 33's and call it done for the lift part. right now i am running a 3 inch lift with 31's, my girlfriend said if i lift it anymore she won't drive in it because the truck is too narrow and to high. her dad has a gmc 2500 HD and his truck is higher then mine, sure its much much wider but still, what can i do to change her mind. i am a safe driver and since i got my lift on i do not drive like i have a sportscar what do i do guys???

Get a new girlfriend...

Seriously, I dunno. Maybe take her wheeling, so she sees that street driving isn't gonna be a problem, as long as you don't drive stupid.

Good luck...

X2 on a new girlfriend... that is ridiculous.... You gotta have a girl that enjoys or at least pretends to your hobbies or you can kiss your fun times goodbye. Nothing worse than a woman that spends the next week after you go out to play trying to make you feel guilty.. been there done that...never again.

Is she hot? My response depends on that. Pics would be helpful, since some peoples idea of 'hot' means most teeth are present. You show me yours I'll show you mine.

Anyway, got any pics of your rig? I just stuffed a 3" BL under my '88 4-runner last weekend, and added some adjustable shackles the weekend before that. I had planned on about 9" of clearance between the tire and fenderwell, but now It has a pretty bad 'rake' to it. I'm debating on adding BJ Spacers, or bringing the back down an inch or two (adjustable shackles).

33X12.5 Mickey Thompson Claws will be ordered next week. Don't want to add the BJ Spacers if they're not needed for clearance, you know?

Smart girl, I would not drive a truck with a body lift either.

Well I'm 1.5 BJ is front and 2" body lift now with the same rake thing going on, probably 2in higher in back. I plan on doing a flatbed, getting a 3" lift for the cab and lowering the back 1". Over 33x12.5 TSL's.

As far as the girl goes if your serious with her then get some 15x10's and 12.5 wheels. Better yet get some 33x14.5 boggers then ask her if its wide enough.

Sounds like a hell of a deal. Get the lift and inherit a chauffeur.

I don't see the problem there... It just means you'll have it whenever you want, instead of your girlfriend ripping around in it

You don't need any lift to run 33's.... And you have a 3" body lift, so 33's should clear. You might have to pull the front lower valence, and the front mud flaps.

Lift it and then see what happens when you go out on a date she will either want to take her car which is cool because you using her gas or she will give in and take your truck.

EXACTLY! What - you just came in here to brag?

Truck looks plenty high to me as it is though....

Girl's got all her teeth. Those devil eyes are a bit scary, but still....

Looks good to me! The truck looks OK, too.

I bumped the 'significant other' thread, as promised. Had to cover her face, though, didn't want to get banned or anything.
