Most girls hated my Jeep being lifted. So I did the best thing imo, I got a girl friend with a lifted Jeep (2" and 31s), no complants.

It's one thing to have an opinion about your truk but it's another to controll how you build it 100%. My wife gives me input and somme is good some is bad. She always has understood it's my truck and I'll do whatever at the end of the day.

"My girlfriend won't drive my truck if I lift it anymore!" Sounds like an invitation to lift it to me. Why would you want her to drive your truck anyway?

Just do it, it is an idle threat. My wife wouldn't wheel...until she ended up in the truck and we went on a trip...then she started coming as the photographer...now she is talking about learning to drive the runner once I get the engine swap done!

My wife hasn'tt made it out with me yet, but she wants tto come as soon as she has the time. I think it's just a matter of getting "them" out there to fully understand why wedo the things we do to our vehicles.

I got lucky in the fact that my wife at leasts has a vehicle she sinks money into when she can as well. So, I never really have to worry about her asking why...it's more "how much" LOL

didn't really read this much, but I'll say this. If she's trying to control you and your hobby now... she will continue to control as much as you allow. Meaning, if you allow her to dictate decisions on YOUR truck, she'll try to do the same for other areas of your life.

Been there, done that.

Lift it, she won't notice.

If she does, tell her to get over it.

If you are still with her in 5 years or so you will be asking questions like, what can I do for a hobby that my girl will not want to do. This way you get your me time, or with my Toyota I call it us time.

I would do it, she will come to her senses...it really isnt that big a deal, she will still ride in it with you if you are going to take her somewhere...believe me!! Girls seem to like my lifted truck, even though its not that high, and no girl will ever drive my truck...lol It already has to many dents!!

I agree ... girls dig a truck especially ones that lifted. I believee it comes down to the fact that a lift is what "most" girls recognize as a "badass" truck. They normally dont understand the rest of the stuff unless told later. LOL

You shouldd have made a poll thread ... be 100% lift ... so NIKE IT!

Lift it and pick up a chick who does like lifted trucks. Maybe she will think twice. Your truck not hers.
