im not to familiar with diagnoising tranny and t/cases. fluid amd clutch replacementis about my extent right now. my brothers 89 4cyl 5spd has held up for the past 210xxx miles and hasnt had regular maintence guarantee. fluid is full and a little dirty, but 3rd gear and 5th are whining pretty bad 1, 2, and 4th are nice and quiet. doesnt pop out of any gear ever just noise has him concerned. i have heard of individual gears going out on yotas and still driving them. anyone have a better idea what the whining could be? are there bearings for each gear? thanks for any help
