G52 oil capacity

G52 oil capacity

Hey guys, been searching around for an answer but I've been having some trouble. The only number I've found for the oil capacity for a G52 was 3.9 litres (4.1 quarts) but I didn't trust the source of that info. Can anybody confirm that?

wait you have the g52? do you have the 22re of 22r?

Ok cool thanks man. Its a 22r, and I'm pretty sure I have a G52, that's what I've always thought anyways?

i dont know youre probably right but i always thought 87s with 5 spds and 22rs had the g54

I think I read somewhere that they are basically the same transmission, but the G54 is beefed up a little bit... not sure if that's true or not. And I don't really know how to tell the difference anyways haha I'm gonna take a look at the numbers on the truck and see what they say.

Yeah the code is G292 G52. But as of last weekend its more like G144 G52
