full tank empty tank

My fuel guage one day says full next day says empty. I have checked every thing. Nothing wrong.iwould pull my hair out , if i had any.

Mine has worked off and on for a year at least. I just use the tripometer (think that's what it's called) and gauge my consumption on miles travelled.
