fuel sending unit

Hi, I have a 87 4runner 22re and my fuel sending unit is bad. I have a part truck 1988 v6 3.0

Would the unit from the 3.0 work for the 22re?

I believe the answer is yes. Best bet is to call the dealership with both vins and check the part numbers.

ok well I went to take it out of the 95 and all the screws are completey seized in there. That ends my adventure. I don't really want to cut them out with fuel in the tank in the freezing cold as its snowing out.

I am still curious though if pumps are same. I don't believe part number matches up when I look online but when I go to store tmrw ill get one for each model and see how they compare.

Pretty sure the pumps are the same. The brackets look similar too.
