Fuel Injector End Cap
I was replacing the 3 o-rings on all of my injectors yesterday and noticed that the black cap on the end was cracked. I headed down to the auto parts store and bought an injector rebuild kit that included the injector filter and this little plastic cap for the spray side, so figuring I had the right parts I pulled the old caps off the injectors.... well, the new caps weren't the right size and now I'm stuck with 2 injectors with out these black end caps (on the spray side)...
Anyone else run into this problem? I checked with the Toyota dealership and they didn't even have a part number for the cap. Can I run without them or will it leak? Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Steve

My V6 also has no plastic end on all the injectors and have no problem but I haven't notice any diffrent from gas mileage, my last gas mileage test is 115 miles on 11 gallons of gas (octane 91). I would fix it if it help the gas mileage or performance but as for now it doesn't seem to loose any yet, even loving it after I did the HG and valve tuneup so I wouldn't think there is problem using them without the plastic end.

Good to know. I couldn't get a solid answer from anyone. I found an injector shop nearby (Livermore, CA) called Fuel Injection Corp. They had the end caps.
