fuel gauge not working

fuel gauge not working

so i just got my 91 pickup running again after a good couple months driving the family sienna

i noticed that the fuel gauge doesnt pass a quarter tank and it likes to fluctuate

i need some help from you guys

any ideas ?

the fuel gauge stop reading occaisionally on my 89 trail rig, i just punch the dash and it comes back on, but from what you say, that dosent sound like it would help
