according to 4crawler,http://4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/AFM/index.shtml, E2-VS should be 20-400 ohms with the vane closed and sweep up to 1000 when the vane is fully opened.
looks like an afm problems

on both toyotas!! that would be amazing if it was that simple..

but i just dont understand how my daily driver could shut off whlie driving never to start again... ill get a good used afm from my yota part hookup...
but im still going to look at the bj-70

possibly. if it's giving the ecu the incorrect air flow reading it could, which the E2-VS reading is.

ok cuz with no codes and both afm reading the same i guess i cant test any further!! ill get 1 good replacment and try it on both trucks.. the trail rig backfired out the snorkel so i would suspect the afm there too but no codes really puzzles me!!

Well, if it's any consolation, I had a bad AFM with no related codes. Just a code 5 for the O2 sensor..........which disappeared finally after replacing the AFM.

dealer wants 1300 for afm i need 2...
this SUCKS no junkyards near me have any runners

i guess ill try and clean them

If Its A Fuel Problem..........check Both Relays For The Fuel System.......those Relays Broke Most Of The Time...........
Check The Connectors Leading To The Fuel Pump............could Be Loose...........
It Happen To Me Before...........
The Thing Just Die Out While I'm Driving............
