Front End Steering/Suspension Parts....What Brand?
Too many clunks in my 1987 4Runner's front end. I had a worn ball joint that I replaced but just about everything has enough play that it is a clunk fest going over bumps. A few Toyota/OEM parts are still available but they are $$$$. Sankei 555 makes some too but they are a little harder to find and also pretty pricey.
Anyone have experience with Mevotech or Moog? Not their economy line, their "Supreme" lines. Probably half the price of Sankei.
My 87 4Runner is a pleasure vehicle and doesn't see much offroad. It is a pavement princess....but living in Mass it is also a pothole pounder. Sometimes driving on the highway is like driving at high speeds in the desert! At low-speeds some potholes resemble open man-hole covers! So generic cheapo parts do tend to wear fast around here. I only drive 3-5k per year so I'm not exactly looking to get 200k out of the new parts, but I don't want to buy trash either.
Any thoughts on the better aftermarket parts for my application?

Spend the money on OE, I heard Moog used to be good but have since cheaped out per a couple threads on here. I recently had to drop a lot of money on my 91 and went with moog BUT it was before I started seeing threads saying people weren’t happy with them. Although I’m not driving it much if at all anymore I wish I would have just spent the money on what was still available from Toyota
Others may chime in on Moog or other brands I just don’t have any experience with anything else and I have not driven mine enough, I can’t personally comment on the Moog stuff yet. I just wish OE parts weren’t covered in gold…..
