Front Drive Shaft Vibration

I just put a junkyard transmission and transfercase in my truck. Now I have a vibration between 40-70 mph. I removed the front drive shaft and it goes away. Is it the drive shaft itself or could it be the transfer case?

Thanks,
Chris

Auto,
I also have reinstalled the front drive shaft rotated 180* to counter any balance issues.

with the ADD system the front propeller shaft is not supposed to rotate(spin, turn) unless you got her in 4X4 mode...now the CV axles always rotate on the ADD, so maybe there is a problem with the joints there?

I also have a vibration that I think is coming from the A340H ,it shakes the whole 4runner between the speed ranges you mentioned....and I can put her in 4H and it is much worse...I can hear some sort of bearing spinning just under the shifter console trying to keep up with the RPMs of the engineI think I have a T.C. bearing going bad or a bearing in the Hydraulic transfer case...so we may have simular issues

u-joints in the front shaft??? LOL

it's not the front end, with auto hubs then the CV's are always turning, which means whether the driveshaft is in there or not they will spin, so it's obviously the driveshaft, now it could be balance, worn out u-joints..t-case output shaft?

Did you run this same driveshaft before without issue? Did you happen to pull the front driveshaft apart (assuming it is a 2 piece).

My bet is either that or worn u-joints.

Thanks for all the replies,

The ADD was locked in all the time, there was no vaccum to the 2wd 4wd solenoids.
I fixed that, and the vibration is gone, I realize that there may stil be an underlying issue, but I rarely use 4wd, and when I do I'm never going over 20mph.. so I think I'm good. Thanks again,
Chris
