Hell YA! if they are true 4.88 with no broken teeth, and in good condition I would go for it! While you have em out set them up with lockers that will get you through hell and back.

33's and 4.88 is a good combo

I sell thirds all the time and usally get $75 for 4.10's complete, $125 for 4.37's complete, $150 for 4.56's complete, $175 for 4.88 complete not a set just one

my diesel is 4.88s stock with the auto and 31s.. gets good gas milage and i can go 140 kilomteres per hour.. so i think that is a good investment...

i paid 50 bucks for stock 4.10s and the 4.88 can go for 100 here

Unless you have all the tools and skills to reset up the gears, you will only be able throw a lunch box style locker in there like an Aussie locker or similar. A Detroit locker requires resetting up the gears.

I am a cheapo so I welded my rear spider and set up a lockrite myself in the front but if I had to choice an air locker/selectable locker would be sick

sometimes I wish it would just shut off but 90% i am in love with my locker setup

I spent under $300

Update

I pulled the 3rds out on sunday. I got everything from drum to drum on the rear including 4 link,e brake cables, everything that was connected to it.
The front I only took the third cause those cv's were .
PLUS I got a no rust rear bumper front bumper(the 94 style) with the plastic valance, Grill and the non sealed beam headlights, markers, wiring, engine relays, and are you ready for this... not leaking not worn out P.S, Pump and I took the idler and steering box for the hell of it all for $200. woohoo
I think I made out pretty good??

I opened the front diff tonight and looked it over and checked everything (per ZUK's website) and It is in GREAT shape. Hopefully tomorrow night I will get to the rear 3rd. and friday they get installed.

Good deal who set them up? I'd splurge and ship them to ZUK for a check up. Of course that wil increase to cost and also put lockers in.
