Flywheel broke off

If you're having trouble drilling a straight hole, try drilling a pilot hole with a tiny bit (3/32", 1/8" ), then drilling with progressively larger bits. With the tiny bit, you'll be able to drill out a accurate hole in less than a minute.

Thanks guys!
Anyway...i've tried the extractor and reverse drill method on 4 bolts...no luck...i've successfully drilled out 4 holes though. I used a little bit smaller drill bit then the size of the hole was and drilled a little off on each. Anyway, once I drilled through...I could easily remove the remaining bolt/stud with a screw driver. I do see nice clean threads though! I have a feeling everything will be alright!
Anyway, any idea what I should do to repair the threads? I'm thinking each hole will have 80% threads left all on one side...so I will buy a tap and die and clean the threads and just buy oem flywheel bolts and I should be okay right?
Again...thanks!

good to hear your wining the battle.. if you have access to a small propane torch you can try heating the bolt a lil bit.. blue and red locktite can be disolved with heat, not so much with the green stuff.

Yay! I got all the bolts out!
Now I need a set of original flywheel bolts. I'm kinda proud of myself
The last two bolts came out exactly like the thing iamsuperbleeder used. I bought one and tried it a on a couple of these bolts but it worked flawlessly on the last two! Glad I bought it!

they're well worth every pennyYeah get some REAL bolts for that thing

honestly, I'd check the dealer; how much could a handful of bolts cost, really?

I can get a set of ARP bolts for $30...might as well go with them...or get a set from LC for $20...and of course I would have to pay for shipping and handling too! lol

but if you have to pay shipping on either, the LC bolts will work just as fine too
all you need is stock replacement; it's not like you're running a crazy tuned high HP 22r there

I mean the bigger, better, and stronger bolts will never hurt, but their's a point where you're just throwing money away
