Take it out and spray it down with some condenser cleaner. You can get that from most any good A/C or plumbing shop. The evaporator is aluminum and will not rust but the filter/dryer will absorb moisture and need to be replaced.Probly needs one anyway! After the cleaner does it's job hose it down real good and do it 3 or 4 more times.Check the squirrel cage too for debris or panty hose or what ever it may have sucked up!

I don't think I am going to be able to clean out the evaporator. I put it all back together except the evaporator and the air blows just fine. Another question though...
Is there a product I should use to reseal the A/C lines when I put it back together?

I dunno how the heck to get the blower motor out. I removed all the visable bolts/screws but the damn thing would only move a few mm.. Any hidden bolts?

Lame!

I found that removing the evap first is the easiest. I was able to get the blower housing out after taking the bolts off for the evap and wiggling that loose a bit.

My evap core was too dirty, and I wrecked a few ribs so I am going to get a new one. Again, anyone know the right way to seal the lines back up?

you better replace that evaporator. see the green stuff in the pics ? that is leak dye and it means it is leaking.

They should seal on their own. They are compression fittings, shouldn't need any kind of sealant on the lines.

So the evaporator they sent was not the right one. The one in the picture is the right one, but they sent one with a return line that heads 45 degrees off and the fitting don't match up...here we go hopefully the seller will rectify the situation.
