Fitting 33" tires on 2nd gen 4runner?
#2
First, a 3" body lift is generally not very safe, but it is a cheap way to gain tire clearance. You can clear 33's no problem and quite likely 35's
I'd sugest that you go to a shop that sells the tires AND has a ramp. have them put the bigger tires on, run it up the ramp and see if it rubs. Places like 4Wheel Parts will sometimes do stuff like this for you.

Just to clarify, you can fit 33's with a 1inch body lift, crank the torsion bars a little, 1.5 inch lift coils, and cutting the plastic in the wheel well slightly. Better than a 3 inch body lift.

This is the way to go, except ball joint spacers are better than cranking the torsion bars.

Thanks. They're getting a little chip with slight surface rust. They look better in the pics. Thinking about powder coating them soon.
