If you can get close enough to it , write down the VIN and go to www.toyodiy.com and type in the VIN and it wil tell you about the vehicle. Pretty cool, we've done it with our's.
And if that hammer is free in the deal, take it!!! LOL.
Seriously, looks solid and complete except for that right fender. Interiors are easy to clean up. Just have to gut it, plastic and all and start from the floor-pan up. I've accumulated alot of parts from my son's '88 4runner from EBAY and we did a complete cosmetic restoration of his in 4 months, inside and out and I had not done that kind of thing before. Except his has the 3vze engine. My truck has the 22re, and as an extremely novice, newbie mechanic, I'm finding the 22re VERY EASY to work on (see my thread in my sig) except for the EVIL crankshaft bolt.
Good luck man, be waiting to hear!!!!!!!

ITs an 87 because that was the last year they put altimeters/inclinometers in SR5 4runners. If its an 88-89 then its super rare or the altimeter was put it afterwards as aftermarket. Without the altimeter and i had to guess the yaer of it i would say 89 as well. Plez CHEZZBURGER look in the door and tell us the month and year it was made i'm super curious.

It's also killing me not to know the year, I haven't had time to get out to it yet, hopefully this weekend I will get out there, But if I work in the town it's in then I will stop by and check it out

If it was something along the lines of 'lucky bugger', yup. What's the American meaning of it, out of curiosity?

Yup, that's the definition it gave! The latter definition had to do with a man's reproductive system (keeping it g-rated), but again, just what the website said, never actually heard the term (hence me looking it up).
Anyways, sorry for getting off topic...back to the 1st gen...

I am really really really really really wanting them to find the title so I can pick her up, If they can't find it I am going to find out how much it is to apply for a lost title

Definitely go that route, it takes them 15 minutes and $15 versus a lot of time it will take you to file for a missing title. Never had to do it, but I think you have to go through the whole bonding and inspection process to get a missing title.
