exhaust options for a 86 22re

so after showing my dad corey's page on exhaust he wants a new set up on his 86 22re 4runner. ive done some searching and all i find is options for a 3.0 and 3.4. so what are some good exhaust options (muffler, pipe size) for a 22re. i know that you should not go bigger than 2.5" on a 3.0 so should you not go bigger than 2.0" on a 22re. and what is the best muffler for a 4 banger thats not all ricey sounding. the deeper the better. and if im missing the info when searching a link to the needed threads would be cool.

thanks

the best exhaust setup on a 22RE is going to be 2" from the manifold to the muffler, then 2.25" from the muffler to the tailpipe.
