Exhaust crossover pipe

I cannot get all three nuts off the passenger side. Can someone tell me how they did it. Just cant seem to be able to reach them and get enough clearance to loosen them.

THX

Flex ratchet with a bent handle, like:

(Mine is a HF, but they don't carry it anymore!)

THX I tried from under, behind the tire and over both sides. Was thinking of cutting it off!! My cam and bearings have notches and chips. Head has to go. Shocked it ran at all!

paul,

I just did this myself. to get them off I went from underneith with the front wheel off and was able to get a 3/8 breaker bar in there and tweek them loose. Then had to use a small 1/4 ratchet and do it 1/12 turn at a time. Slow going.

Not sure how I am going to get it back on though... will be doing that later this week.

Anyone know if the O-ring that goes into the coolant bypass tube under the manifold is a generic part? Mine is hard and mishapened as the head had been off several times before I got the truck and I think they just reused the old one.

Thanks,
]
Kip
