Question Exhaust on a 1993 4runner

I just bought my 4Runner recently and i was wondering if anyone has tried adding aftermarket exhaust to these cars. I'm trying to get the V8 noise i got from my last truck with flow master. Just curious if anyone has tried any simple bolt on modifications that gave them a profound difference.

Do a search on exhaust (IL4 or V6?). You will find ALOT of info from prior threads here on YT.. I did alot of research myself before going with my setup.. Welcome aboard and let us know whatcha go with..

ive been told the flowmaster 40 series is the way to go. and im only looking to change the muffler and possibly a tip but i would have to get the welding done at a shop because i dont own one. im looking for a deeper louder sound because im the only teenager in my neighberhood and need to compensate for the loss of noise. any suggestions

The Borla catback is supposed to be a solid performer if you can still find one.

Can't be done. You'll never make an I4 or V6 sound like a V8; it's just not possible unless you are an accoustical engineer. I have a Borla/TRD exhaust on my 3.4 and it sounds like a ricer. I have a magnaflow on my 3.0 and it sounds like a ricer. Just the nature of the beast.

22r with a header, 2.5" piping from the header back with a high flow cat, flowmaster 40 series and a 3"x12" tip and it sounds like a ricer
