ENGNBLDR Rocks!

I just got my 22re back together after a blown HG. Everything came back together perfectly, and I wanted to share my experiences with ENGNBLDR.

Someone from this site recommended ENGNBLDR's head gasket kit, which I ordered. I was surprised to find it on my door step the next day! The quality of the kit was quite impressive for the price! Realizing ENGNBLDR is about 15min from my work, I decided to take my head there to get worked on. I took my head in and talked to Ted for about an hour. He is a really cool guy who knows alot about the 22re. It turned out I had a burned exhaust valve on Cylinder #4. I decided to keep it cheap and just replace the bad valve, the seals, and get the head hot tanked and surfaced. He quoted me $129, which I though was pretty damn cheap. He finished it on the Wed before Thanksgiving, since he knew I would want to work on it over the weekend. Since he couldn't regrind the other valves in time, he just gave me new valves all around for no charge! He also threw in better seals for free! Now that its all back together, my 22re is running like a champ! Ted did an awesome job on my head, and I can't believe it was just $129! ENGNBLDR is awesome, and I would recommend them to anyone needing headwork or parts!

Count me in! I went with every part that he/they sell for the 22RE on my rebuild, did my exhaust to spec, and this thing ROCKS! PS- Once I got my gearing/tire issues resolved, I'm getting 20mpg, AND THE THINGS NOT EVEN BROKEN IN YET!

Lovin' it!

Thanks Ted/Todd

Yep, engnbldr is awesome! Bought the wrong size pistons, rode up to his store, and exchanged them no questions. Great guy!

Just wanted to add to this thread. I bought a rebuild kit and a set of valves from Ted. He was easy to work with and has great customer support. I emailed him with a quick question on Sunday night at 10:03pm. I had a long response in my inbox at 10:14pm. 11 minute turn around after 10pm on a sunday night? That's above and beyond if you ask me.

Looks like he is about an hour away from here, I think I'll visit in person when I do the head gaskets on my 95.
