they could, and probably will help, its just the fact that this and many other questions get asked, and answered repeatedly, almost on a daily basis. Just search the forums there are many threads covering this topic.

there aren't many "cheep" mods for a 22re/rte that result in any noticible power improvements. bump the timing a bit, relocate the afm/filter, and that's about it. otherwise... cam, head (port / oversize valves), header & exhaust system will all add a bit of power to both the 22re and 22rte. for the rte there are turbo upgrades, add on/aftermarket fuel management, intercooling, etc..

and yeah, the forums here have a search tool, and google indexes a whole lot of stuff too.

yes they conflict but, I had issues with the motor since I bought the truck. First
it's a 22r block with with a 22rete top end minus the turbo set up like a 22re. I have the turbo I just haven't had time to install it. I was just curious about engine mods for example battery and intake box swap and the effects regarding mileage performance. How much should I advance the timing? I have a frankenstein motor so Im not sure what mods would best fit my motor. I would like to provide more power and better fuel mileage. I am currently getting 13 - 14 mpg and it takes 40 seconds to get from 0 to thirty miles per hour. It is also an automatic. Anyone have any information that might be of help to my situation I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you
