engine mounts vibration
hello,
I have a 92 toyota pick up truck, 22re motor. i just did an engine rebuild. i followed the toyota service manual very thoroughly. truck starts right up , ran the motor for about an hour and checked oil is clean and no leaks of any oil or coolant appeared anywhere. the only concern i have is when i go into gear reverse or drive , the whole truck shakes and vibrates. in neutral or idle its fine. any suggestions please help me out. i appreciate it.

You couldn't figure out the idle speed spec? (it's on the under-hood sticker; for an auto it should be 850rpm)
Or you couldn't figure out what a tachometer is?

I guess I should ask: does your truck have a tachometer? (a gauge on the panel next to the speedometer, that shows the speed of the engine).
A "regular" timing light won't tell you anything about rpm. But there are some fancy ones (always with a digital display of some sort) that "also" will tell you engine rpm. If you have one of those, it should work fine.
Of course, you have to know how to use it ....

Hmmm. You did an engine rebuild, but you don't know how to measure engine rpm?
