Exclamation Engine died while driving!?!

While driving home from the store last night in the rain, my engine died while accelerating up a hill and now it wont retart. I have a 94 pickup with a 22re. Any ideas on what the problem could be and tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

With copper wire and ignition off, try jumping the B+ to Fp terminals in diagnostic box. Then try to start. If running OK then problem probably the "circuit opening relay". Located by itself, above ECM, attached with 5-wire connector. Expensive at dealer, anyone know where to get aftermarket?

If jumping B+ and FP gets it going, you can check the COR:
http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...38circuito.pdf

A bad fuel pump switch in the vaf meter will also cause COR not to operate:
http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...33volumeai.pdf BTW, typo in troubleshooting step 1(b): B & FC SHOULD have continuity (but will have some resistance due to coil winding).

If jumping B+ and FP doesn't get it going, your coil may have died. Check both circuits:
http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b.../4onvehicl.pdf

Pull your igniter connector and make sure it isn't filled with water...

Make sure the igniter ground is good, and check the distributor connector, and signal rotor & coil.

Check the IGN fuse in driver side fuse box. Make sure the fuse is hot when ignition is on, otherwise ignition switch may be bad.

since it was raining when it died, check the distributor cap for moisture and check all the plugs around the ignition coil / igniter for water / condensation.
