is it a clicking or a slight knock? it could be your valves hitting. need more info to help you. lol could be a bunch of other things too, id check your oil, and if it needs it change the oil then go from there.

is that a complete sentence?

yeah could just need a valve adjustment

the injectors are also notorious for being loud

at worst, it could be a rod knock or piston slap

hi when the engine is idling it works perfect but when the rpm goes over 2500 it stars making a clicking sound. I try to change my oil every 5000 km. i run it on 10W 30 synthetic oil. thanks

yeah it was a complete sentence to me hahahaha who cares??? anyways well if it does it at that rpm and not at idle id say look into the valves or like super bleeder said the injectors might be the prob. Personally i dont work on the efi yotas that much so im not super sure on that but lookinto those possiblities. could also be a spark plug wire jumping. i had a wire that i didnt know was bad and it actually came apart a lil at the end where the spark plug is and it was jumping across to the spark plug cylinder wall and altho it was stilll firing it would cause my car to make a faint clicking sound and it caused my car to start back firing at a certain rpm/ speed SO idk could check that, but my car is a 96 dodge neon. lol

When these engines first came off the assembly line they fired them up and made sure they were ticking. If it didn't tick, they would throw it out, and if it did, it would be good for life
