Nope...it's the EGR temperature sensor. Your O2 sensor (or sensors....I'm not sure if you have two) is on the exhaust before (and maybe after) the catalytic converter.
Do you not have a service manual?

Yeah. I am getting a EGR error code. I have cleaned the EGR valve and replaced the vacuum lines.. I am getting a new EGR valve today. Hope this works. It is idiling very rough when the engine is warm.

I am at a loss. I am getting an EGR code and I have cleaned the EGR vacuum modulator filter, replace all of the vacuum lines and have replaced the EGR valve. What am I missing? I reset the computer by removing the negative terminal of the battery. Will this clear the code or do I need to pull the fuse? It was idling rough and since the EGR valve replace it is idiling a lot smoother.
Thanks

I have the same problem. I have cleaned the valve and made sure it operates correctly. However I am still showing a code. Could it be the sensor in the EGR? Mine has always run perfectly though. Any ideas?? WE NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only one EGR code, 71, check your EGR temp sensor.

The Modulator in the FSM controls it so it is possible the valve is ok and the vacumn switching is not working or as simple as a vacumn line broken or split .
Here is the link to the FSM , make sure you scroll down to the 3VZE section and then look at the Emissions EGR section and it will identify everything and give you test's for the modulator vacumn switch and the EGR , the diff. types of EGR are listed so you can find yours with the Temp sensor as mine doesn't have that but the one you have is in the online manual following :

Thanks all. Vacuum lines are all ok. I need to see if the vacuum is being supplied, or if it is the temp sensor. I think I'll start with the temp sensor seeing as the wires look a little worst for wear. Mud Hippy, your the bomb.

Yep. And for that code (I assume a code 71) I just got a resistor from radio shack and replaced the EGR temp sensor with it. EGR still functions fine and as far as the ECU is concerned the temp is in the proper range. No CEL for almost a year now. All for 2 bucks and some solder.

Yep thats the one
The resistor trick is nice
, by the schematic that is all the Sensor does anyway is monitor Temp and tell the ECM the Temp is in range therefore not generating code/knowing EGR is working .
