My truck bed is all dinged up, the rails/ruts on the bottom of the bed are practically flat, and the wheel wells are wavy from dents, even after I spent a good hour or so straightening them out with a dolly and hammer. In short, my bed has gotten a ton of use and is in poor condition on the inside. I want to sand it down and paint a basic rattle can protectant, and then use a drop-in bedliner. Why not just Line-X/Herculiner or something? Because the bed is in such terrible condition that it would still look horrible. I figure my only two options are to either dump the whole rear end of the truck and replace it with a new one from salvage, or get a contoured drop-in liner, and at this point I'm favoring the liner for cost reasons.

So, my question is (tada), where can I find one? It's got to cover the wheel wells all the way up to the edge of the bed. Or if you have other ideas I'm open to those too... thanks!

Edit: I should say as well that I have driven around and searched the net quite a bit, but no one seems to be selling a full size bed liner, only the mats. Maybe someone in the Seattle area knows where to pick one up locally?

if you use it that much to mess it up that much, then why dont you just scrap the old bed and make a flat bed?

it might be a little bit more, but it will pay off in the long run

 

I should have clarified -- I haven't used the bed that much, it was in that condition when I bought it. The PO beat it to crap. I just plan on using it for carrying mountain bikes, gear, and the occasional bark/wood/etc.

 

I have one out of a standard bed 1987 Toyota pickup you can have, in Kingston.

Hey all, I know this is an old post but I am basically in the same boat at as Monochrome. Im looking to get a drop in bed liner for my 91 long bed. Have called most places in the LA area as well as craigslist but all the ones I can find are 6' ers. I never thought it would be this hard to find one!

My bed may be salvageable for a roll on bed liner as a second option. I plan on trying my best to relieve the the big dents, but i'm wondering what is the best way to do it? Drill a small hole and pull? Should I try filling the smaller ones with body filler and sand after (im worried the body fill will be more likely to chip from bed abuse/wear)?
