Look out for star-bellied sneetches.

Yep that writeup pretty much covers it. Note that you need the "external" type of spring compressor. I borrowed one from Autozone and it was the "internal" type and useless.

Spring compressor?? We don't need no stinkin' spring compressor.

Especially for any spring shorter than the cruiser springs like the downey's. I have a writeup too, search for it in the tech section.

You must have done something different than me then, cuz the Eibach stock height springs just barely went in mine, even with the "fat friend stands on brake drum" technique. We even took the panhard off - it was a PITA getting it back on, avoid it if possible.

If you have two jacks it helps. I had one under the diff and one pushing up on the opposite side. Then both of us wrestled the cruiser coils in. I did the same thing as tc and got the autozone internal spring compressor. totally useless! I spent more time trying to get it to work than it did to do everything else.

ill probably get a spring compressor. i would rather have it easier and since this is the first time that either me or my dad has worked with coil springs we might as well do it right and as easy as possible. i really wanted to get these things on today but it started raining. and it was really windy. i did get my running boards off and i got on a bug shield on the front. just taking off the running boards made it look 2" taller. i cant wait to get the springs in. i know that i wll be putting in spacers in those coils and bj spacers up front. but thats when i find the right tire wheel combo i want. i need good ideas of rims,,,,, you guys got any??? any pics?
