Stock Radio Removal

i searched and didnt find anything. does anybody know how to get the radio out of the dash? i havent tryed this yet kind of just wanted know some pointers before i got into it. Is there i write up on here. i just need to take out the stock radio and put in a kenwood. i have the install kit and harness. 1990 4runner.

the whole bottom half of the dash has to come off i.e. drivers kick panels,under steering column panel,glovebox and hvac controls.
just start removing screws and panels and you'll get the know of it.
it's not hard just a little time consuming.
i think there was a post here with pics as well.

what search terms did you use? i find it hard to believe you searched but couldn't find anything. this is quite a popular topic on the forum.

also, try looking in the tech section.

in the absence of sufficiently detailed explanations (don't know how well you know your way around your dash), you can find a pay-for-use explanation at http://www.carstereoremoval.com/ -- the guy doesn't charge an arm and a leg for it, but still you should find enough info here.
