Don't park under trees

Well, about 3 weeks ago I parked my runner in its usual spot under the tree in our front yard. It was normal mid April weather.. The next morning I woke up to about 6 inches of snow on the ground.. And if that wasn't enough to piss me off, the willow tree was now on top of my runner..

Can't even see the truck

The tree got it the worst though.. and the neighbors fence

Snow in the middle of april.. (Although I realize that is probably a regular occurance for some of you guys)

Well, luckily the tree fell right on top above the passenger window. I feared that it smashed a window out or smashed the hard top. I think it just kinda fell on it and slid down the rest of the front of the truck. When we got the branches off, the passenger mirror was bent forward and the antenna was bent. The top of the roof only had a couple small dents:

not too bad

Cant even see it from ten feet out. (my buddys runner in the background)

Lesson learned: don't park under trees in the middle of april cuz it will snow and make dents in your truck

Funny you say that cuz I used to park my supra under the same tree and sap dripped on it and got it all freakin sticky. It came off when I washed it though.

That's nothing. I parked my car (funny enough, also a Supra) under a lamp post in front of my house, ran inside for 10 minutes, and when I came out, my car was pooped on SEVEN times! In 10 minutes! Damn birds.....

yeah its a really soft wood willow. we had two others and one rotted out and the other fell down after a nasty windstorm. I guess if I had to have any tree fall on my truck it would be that one, although I don't recommend it.

Actually this last season we did get quite a bit of snow, its just that it was in the middle of april so I wasn't really expecting it.

Well at least you won't have to worry about that tree falling anymore, now you can park there without worry.

I'm surpirsed that only 6" of snow would do that to a tree, you're right what a weak ass tree. It probably fell over relatively slow as the accumulated, so you got lucky.
