Dome light and dash heater select light broken

Dome light and the light behind the heater selector for My '92 pickup 2wd excab do not turn on. Changed dome bulb, no luck.

I don't have an ampmeter. Has anybody else had this problem?

That's an unusual pair to go out at the same time... I'm not sure if they are on the same circuit or not...I'd check the fuse first...

dome lites must be a weak point, (my 1st toy.truck worked "sometimes"- never figured that out, sold that 2wd)(my 2nd and 3rd trucks (both 4x's) both dont work.

the map lights work, but the real dome light doesn't.
as far as the bulb behind the heater, you can just hard wire another dash light from an existing power source (namely parking lights)

the dome consists of the switches in the door jambs (*would be my 1st check for clean connections and a working button).

other than that, its all easy stuff.

I checked all the fuses.

good idea for the bulb behind the heater. I'll hard wire a new dash light. Forget finding the loose connection..

I'll check the switches in the door jams. Thanks.

There is also the switch on the dome light itself if the contacts there are dirty or out of shape that can be another problem as well so far as the dome light is concerned.
