Doesn't Stay running???
ok i have a little issue with my 95 pickup 22re 4wd. After it sits over night i go to start it and it starts, rpms jump up to a little under 2 grand like it should, runs for about a second and a half and then shuts off unless i keep my foot on the gas for about 30 seconds. Once ive done that its fine for the day. Even if its parked outside in the freezing cold. Any insight on to what is the cause of this would be awesome. thanks in advance!

sometimes you can clean it out with electric parts cleaner and it will run for a few months more just changed one on Friday for a friend .

ok found out it has to be something wrong with the mass air flow sensor. i jumped the Fp with the B+ in the diagnostic box and the truck starts and runs like a champ! looked at all the wiring, no broken wires and the connector was fine so anyone got a mass air flow sensor?

its not a matter of it reading correctly. theres something in the mass air flow sensor that electronically tells the ecu that the truck is not running so it cuts power to the fuel pump kind of like if the truck gets into an accident or if it is rolled over

try cleaning it first. if its dirty, it wont function right and yours isnt functioning right. why not clean it for like $3 versus buying a new one if you dont know 100% you have to yet?
