distributor rotor at TDC?
I just got done replacing my timing belt and had my rotor way off to compensate in the meantime. After I opened it up, I saw that everything was off by two teeth.
In trying to put everything back together again, where should the rotor be pointing when the crankshaft is at 0 degrees TDC and the distributor marks are completely lines up (i'm assuming set to TDC). My rotor was either at 3 oclock or 9 oclock when looking at it from the drivers side of the vehicle.
I assume I should point it to the marks on the distributor (where the #1 plug wire goes) but 90 degrees seems like a crazy adjustment from where it was before.
Help me get this thing firing tonight! Thanks.

Alright yeah, that makes sense. I just looked at what the cap looks like. I cranked it and it made a god awful noise. I don't even know where to begin now.

make sure it is at cylinder one TDC. Point it toward the number 1 cylinder (rotor) about 10-11 o clock. Start it off retarded and move into advance... Don't try n start it up fully advanced. Make sure it is jumpered. Good luck
