discontinued igniter

Hi guys, i am in need of a denso igniter 89620-35280. discontinued parts from denso and i couldn't get any from the dealership. does anybody know an alternative igniter for a 1991 toyota pick up 4x4 5 speed manual with 22re motor. it has code 14 which pertains to igniter. so far i changed the distributor assembly since it has code 13 too before. i appreciate any help

Saw one on Ebay for around $300. I bought a used one from my 1986 22RE about 20 years ago and it's still working fine. New ones at the time they were like $425. Toyota used the 22RE in a lot of years and models like Corolla so could try searching those as the part-number might be the same.

Good luck. I have used online salvage yard search sites before and gotten good parts at a very reasonable price shipped. They should be able to match the numbers and make that explicitly clear.

This website will hook you up with salvage yards nation wide. Part grades and prices are listed on most of them. Some say to call.

Toyota updates part numbers so often. I would think any igniter from any 22RE would work. This part number seems to apply to 1991 as well

Seems 89620-35280 replaces 89620-35211. I seem to recall a lot of those on ebay.
