Disable rear ABS light?

I yanked all the ABS stuff a long time ago but I have the damn light on the dash still on. I can't find a schematic of that light anywhere so that I can force it off. Aside from pulling the dash and yanking the light does anyone know what turns the light on and how I can kill it? Where there is a schematic for that light??

Found it. Its in the "braking system" section not the "electrical" section.

Go figure...

Easy fix... pull the gauge cluster and remove the bulb from behind the ABS idiot light. Put the cluster back in and you're done... lol... IK it does'nt solve the problem completely but it does take care of the annoying glow in short order...

According to the schematic you just have to pull the plug on the ABS computer. Not sure if I have to ground the "W" pin or not. I have not done it yet but will let you know when I do. Much easier then pulling the dash IMHO. The computer is behind the glovebox under the big tube that runs across the dash up near the top (according to the pics).

Okay here is how you do it.

Pull the ABS ECU.

Then disconnect the ABS Relay

Both of these ground the light circuit. I tried just the computer but no luck. You have to unplug both.

IDK flash that computer is normally attached above the cross brace to get to it you'd have to remove the whole dash pad. The cluster is easy... drop the knee bolster under the steering wheel, undo about a half dozen screws and pull the cluster trim, four more screws and the cluster is out. I guess I've just pulled mine so many times I don't think about it anymore lol...

That pic I took was just after I undid the 3 screws that hold it to the bracket (you can see the two of them in the pic with the black screws). 3 screws and a bolt to take the glove box off. Total job 3 min. You don't have to touch the dash. Whatever floats your boat

Thank you @Flash319 ! 11 years later and this post is still adding value. I disabled my rear ABS months ago, as it was malfunctioning and dangerous, and this warning light has bugged me ever since. Turns out it only takes 5 minutes of work to disable. No more warning light, and no more malfunctioning rear ABS. Thanks!
