A different broken TVV

While tapping on my intake manifold, I stupily slipped and broke the entire top off of the TVV. Can I just superglue it back on? Is there a spring or something inside the large center hole? Am I screwed and in search of............

Superglue won't work, you need a good seal, try Gorilla Glue, it expands as it cures. I GG'd the hose bib on one and it seems to be working fine. However, since you sheared yours off, you may want to track down a junkyard replacement or a new one, not sure how $$ they are. I glued mine due to a need to get the work done and figured I'd replace it later if it didn't work.

we just replaced one on my buddies truck, He got his from Toyota for around $89 . . .
