Dieseling 22R

Dieseling 22R
So a week ago my truck wouldn't idle so after taking it to auto shop at school we figured out it was the fuel cut solonoid(SP?). After taking it out we found a metal shaving in it so we cleaned it out and it would idle. But now when I turn it off it trying to keep running. We messed with the idle screw but it still does it. Can someone please help? By the way it's a 22R in an 86 Pickup with nothing done to the motor

There is a small o-ring at the end of the fuel cut solenoid, if its missing that will cause the dieseling that your getting, if the o-ring is there and your still getting the dieseling problem then the fuel cut solenoid might be bad and turning the fuel flow off when you shut the engine off. I went through this same problem on a 22R that i used to own.
