Question Anyone know of a shop capable of rebuilding a 3rd in my area?

My rear end is howling like crazy and I think its getting worse! Does anyone know of a shop in my area, Northern VA, Eastern PH of WV or even Western MD, Washington DC or anyone that could rebuild it for me?? OR anyone that I can ship it to, I'm thinking about re gearing too since I need new tires, I could re gear now and put some 33x9.50s on my truck I called around to the local shops here and no one wants to do it, they say they dont have the tools to set it back up, it may not need gears just bearings.... Though it sounds terrible and you can turn the drive shaft a good bit in either direction before the wheels move, not sure if this is gears or what, ive never worked on one before!! Anyone know what it would cost to ship a 3rd??? Its a 1988 V-6 automatic 4x4 with 182,000 miles on the clock. The rear was fine till I bottomed out the drive shaft, im pretty sure I bunged the input bearing and thats where my noise is coming from, not sure why there is so much slop in there though. The last time I changed the fluid it did look like silver paint! Anyone know a ballpark figure on rebuilding a 3rd? Or both if I were to re-gear??? THe front cant have but 3,000 miles on it total so Im sure it would just need the gears installed.... Thanks again, Matt

Send it to Zuk. Shipping for you would probably be $30-$45. http://gearinstalls.com/

ha! I did beat you. Actually, I just checked and Fedex ground to zip 25443 is 65 in 4 days. WV is pretty far away....but I'm working a a rebuild right now for a guy in Doha, Qatar so I guess 65 is nothing compared to what this other guy is gonna pay

Fedex is EXPENSIVE. A 65lb box from here in NJ to CA would cost about $48 with my UPS account.
