Dave'z Offroad Question

Has anyone on the board ordered parts from Dave'z? I am trying to get an idea of time until I get my front bumper (ordered mid last week if I remember correctly). I was hoping to get it before Spring break is over (3/19/07). I do know he has to make these as they are ordered, and that will introduce some time into the whole process, but does anyone have any encouraging words?

Thanks
Andy the Impatient one.

did you ever join his forum or did you just call him up? I tried to join the forum to ask a question or two, but he has to "approve" everyone who joins... that was probably 2 or 3 weeks ago. Seriously thinkg about getting a rear bumper from him.

Thanks.

Both, I joined 3 minutes after I called and ordered the front bumper. He messaged me within an hour of that that the build was underway and a welcome to the board.

My problem is that I'm just not good at waiting, though I know it's well worth the time it takes, especially with his products. If I like everything about the fit of the front, I'll order a rear from him, and then maybe front tube doors.

Weird... It's been almost a month since I tired to join the forum. I was sent an automatic e-mail saying: "the admin has to approve" or something. Oh well, I'll just call him when I'm ready I guess. Let us know how you like the bumper.

You may want to re-submit the request, or like you said, just call him when you place your order.

You can be sure I'll post pics the day I get the bumper, and install pics from that night. I'm really looking forward to getting it.

He did seem more comfortable actually talking to me on the phone. I can kind of relate. I feel like I can get more done over the phone, and always prefer face-to-face over anything. The problem with internet based communication is that it's just so ridiculously easy.

One last question:

I guess he is shipping your bumper to you? Did he say who he uses for shipping?

He said UPS. I emailed him and asked yesterday just to make sure I could get a tracking number. I think the front bumper must be close to their size limits but not over.

By looking at the two, the rear one seems to be a little longer front to back, but shallower top to bottom. It probably comes out in the wash.

Ya Dave is not real computer savy. He mentions that on his homepage. He has answered the phone within 2 rings every time I have ever called him though. He's a great guy to work with and has reasonable prices. AndYota I'm going up there in a couple days to pick up my third member I'll check on your bumper for you. Heck I'll even try and get a picture of it if I can.

Exeter resubmit your stuff to the forum. Dave replies back to my PM's within a day so I know he is on there alot. He might have just missed it or something.

Thanks dude! I have no issues with the wait in reality. I just love getting new stuff for my truck.

So are there any new pics of your beast with the new parts and SAS?
