dash lights go bye bye

So I was out off roading last night and all of the sudden my dash lights(gauges, all the controls in the center and on the shifter thingy) and my rear running lights go out. all at once! So when I got home I looked in the engine fuse box, and nothing was bad, then I took off the cover under the dash and looked there. There is a 10 fuse for the gauges, but its fine. Anybody have any ideas?

check the blue power wire that leads to the fuse box right behind the battery...

mine came loose the other night and every time i hit the brakes, all my lights would go out...

Listening in on this one... I have the same problem, no shifter light, gauges or heater control lights, but I do have all the warning lights ( on the lower dash)working. My fuses also check out fine, truck was this way I bought it.

I'd also check the fuse with an ohmmeter. Sometimes those pesky critters go out in ways that aren't easy to verify visually.

so I figured out my problem, the rear running light fuse blew. And somewhere in my rigs life someone piggy backed the gauge 12v wire into the fuse slot for the rear running lights. What a bunch of BS right? anyway thanks for your help guys
