damn squeeling is driving me nuts!

recently my 3VZE has started squeeling! it seems to come from the power steering pump (yes i checked the fluid level). when i turn the wheel it makes a groaning noise but that might be normal and i just started noticing it. is the pump going bad?

Are you sure it is the PS pump. One way to find out for sure is to take off the belt conecting to the pump. This will tell you for sure.

Check that the woodruff key hasn't come out of the pulley.

you did check the fluid level correct? they'll start to whine when low on fluid. Or it may have decided to become a ford...

I just changed the fluid on mine and it helped with the squealing. Are you using ATF?
